Looking for a food manufacturer or product? Here you can find it.
Oi! Trøndersk Mat og Drikke wants to work with sustainability in all our projects and operations. We are in the process of becoming environmental lighthouse certified, which is an important part of the work towards working holistically with sustainability, having a good working environment and reducing our environmental footprint.
Local food and drink is sustainable in itself - but we want to contribute beyond this and contribute to the whole region of Trøndelag having a more sustainable consumption of food and drink.
We are in the process of becoming environmental lighthouse certified, which means that we meet the requirements to minimize environmental impact, improve the working environment and reducing energy consumption. This is part of the continuous efforts of Oi! to have sustainability as part of all of our organization, but also create ripple effects beyond ourselves to all parts we are in connected with - from consumers and festival participants, to producers and partners.
We are working actively with waste reduction through recycling and reuse in our daily operations and at our events. We have also started good routines for waste management during the festivals to minimize the environmental footprint - this is a long-term project that we will work towards to improve for each festival.
Our local food festivals, Trøndelag Food Festival and Trondheim Brewery Festival, are planned and carried out with sustainability in mind. The festivals attract over 200,000 visitors, and we are constantly working to make these events as environmentally friendly as possible. We promote the use of local produce and products, which reduce transport emissions and support local businesses and communities.
Our core is working with local producers and investing in them as exhibitors. It does not only help to promote local industries, but also reduces the carbon footprint by shortening transport distances. At the same time, it is sustainable in terms of preparedness, since our capacity for self-sufficiency in the region and food preparedness is strengthened. At the same time, we also support initiatives aimed at green research, which connect research and agriculture to create more sustainable solutions for our local farmers.
